If you can build it…you should come! This summer, if you can imagine it, then you can build it! The New School in the Heights is constructing a summer of creative “building” fun! Students will learn to use their smart brains and turn their imaginations into cool creative projects while building academic skills and building friendships!
Reading
Students will keep their reading skills sharp with a little demolition…we will build a personalized summer reading list for each student, and they will knock it down one book at a time!
Math
Students will master their math skills and build a “Mathanator” Yes, with every math skill mastered, students will add to a math structure called the “Mathanator” This is something you will have to see to believe!
Construction
Students will think outside the box with a summer project that is as big as their imagination. They will build cities, machines, airports and other creative items using boxes and collectibles that will become incredible architectural masterpieces.
Technology
Students will increase their knowledge of technology by building projects using computers. They will learn the tools of the computer that can allow them to create awesome presentations that are a technological wonder!
Horticulture
Students will enjoy the great outdoors by making it a little bit more beautiful by building a garden. They will plan and construct a garden that will be a work of art that they can take care of and enjoy year round!
Physical Activity
Students will build their endurance and strength with daily physical activities that will build athletic ability and teamwork skills.
Culinary Skills
Students will enjoy a tasty project that will have them building their own ice cream sundae. We provide the ingredients; they create a frosty culinary treat!
