• The New School's "Super Summer Computer Blast"
• Session I May 29 - June 22 2007
• Session II June 25 - July 20 2007
• Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

This summer log on to a fun-filled technology adventure. You are just a click away from some very cool computer experiences. Children ages 5-14 learn to become techno-savvy with our new technology curriculum. The instruction is interactive. Kids "learn by doing." They will help each other learn a variety of programs on PCs and Macs, including iLife and iSight. The program will be individualized depending on the child's entering skill level.
But life is more than technology! Of equal importance is the time we spend strengthening social skills. Our specially-trained staff help children learn techniques for building friendships and getting along with others. This is done through a weekly social skills group, sports and games, and a weekly social mixer where kids will have a special picnic-style lunch while socializing with their friends. Finally, to make sure reading and math skills are maintained and strengthened over the summer break, each day begins with Reading Rockets and Math Mission. Every book children read and math project they complete propels them to a special prize.
