“Arts in the Afternoon” is a fun and educational after-school experience where students in grades K-9 develop social skills through a variety of arts classes such as, Kinetic Arts, Fine Arts, Recreational Arts, Music and Culinary Arts. Classes are taught by professionals who understand children and are aware of their individual strengths and struggles, so that each child can experience the joy of accomplishment and achievement.
Storybook Artists is a unique art experience that teaches the fundamentals of art through award-winning children’s books. The class includes drawing, painting, mixed media, art history & more! There will be a discussion of various artists and art forms in each session. The emphasis will be on development and expression of the student’s personal artistic style and creativity.
Mind Body Connection teaches students about relaxation and body awareness through interesting exercises that help students improve their fitness level and develop strength, flexibility, and stress management skills. The Mind Body Connection is taught by an experienced yoga and fitness instructor to create a unique experience.
Kid’s Cuisine teaches students how to prepare and create interesting and fun dishes that are as good to look at as they are to eat. They will learn that food can be delicious and nutritious. Students will improve their reading, math & science skills by following recipes, measuring and mixing ingredients. Kids will really get their brains cooking!
Bach to Rock takes students on a journey through the history of music. Students will explore all areas and origins of music. They will have fun listening and playing music. They will learn interesting songs, play instruments and even write music! They will discover how music can tell a story and reflect history.
 
When: Mondays - Fridays, 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Cost: $350/month for 4 days; $400/month for 5 days
