After School at NSHAn extended day program is offered Monday-Thursday from 3:00-4:30 p.m. under the direction of our own New School in the Heights teachers. The first half is spent on supervised homework with help available from a trained teacher. Once homework is completed, students are offered a variety of activities designed to build Social Skills such as team-building activities, growing a garden and old-fashioned board games. Other activities help students gain PHYSICAL mastery over their bodies through relaxation and fitness techniques and games requiring patience and precision like Bocci ball.
